Acknowledging the knowledge, experience and past commitments from Canada's most senior ITF members, the NGB would like confirm that all active members who are 7th degree and above will form an advisory group that will be called upon to offer its expertise, when sought by the President of the NGB.

Ottawa, Ontario - On 13 May, 2011, the Canadian National Taekwon-Do Group (ITF) had its first Annual General Meeting. The emmbership elected the NGB's leadership in the form of the CNTG's Executive Directors:

President: Mr. Joel Denis.
Executive Directors: Mr. Sylvain Boucher, Mr. Terry Wisniewski, Mr. Guillaume Ouellette and Mr. Marc-André Roy.

Stoney Creek, Ontario - Lee Sukhi Success Martial Arts had seven students competing at the Canadian Championships in Montreal in March 2011. Students from Master Zdeb's school returned home with six gold, one silver and one bronze medal. Less than two weeks later, three students from Lee Sukhi Success Martial Arts, who are preparing to compete at the ITF World Championships in Korea this September, travelled to the Czech Open Championship. Tamara Fuciarelli earned a gold in sparring, Dragan Mandic a silver in sparring and Natalija Vukasinovic a silver in sparring. They were representing Canada among almost 300 competitors from all over the Czech Republic and Europe between April 6th and 11th.

Toronto, Ontario - Today marks Taekwon-Do Day, the date when our late founder, General Choi Hong Hi, founded this art in 1955. We are thankful for his tireless efforts in making Taekwon-Do what it is today. We also acknowledge the work of all Masters and Instructors in Canada who have dedicated their lives to this art, striving to make this world a better place.

Toronto, Ontario - Master Caputo is proud to announce the promotion of six of his students:

- Ms. D. Moini, IV Dan
- Mr. G. Ouellette, IV Dan
- Mr. B. Tam, II Dan
- Mr. S. Hitura, I Dan

This promotion is of especial importance to Master Caputo, as although he has promoted numerous female black belts, this marks his first promotion of a female black belt to the prestigious rank of IV Dan.

Ottawa, Ontario - It is with great regret that we share the news of Mr. Kasimoto Ngoy's passing on October 20, 2010. Mr. Ngoy, 4th Dan and student of Senior Master Lu, was a lifelong Taekwon-Doist. We extend our sincere consolences to his family, including Mr. Mpinga Ngoy, 4th Dan.

Edmonton, Alberta - Tien Lung Taekwon-Do School Offers Us Great News from Malaysia

Here is a newspaper article about the goodwill, friendship and other opportunities that have happened between Canadian and Malaysian TKD practitioners.  This program was given a very positive response and public support by the local state government.  

Tien Lung in Canada already has ITF practitioners from Paraguay, Argentina, and Nicaragua and is pleased to welcome it's brothers and sister from Malaysia.

Umpires for 2011 ITF World Championships

Grand Master Leong Wai Meng has requested that NGBs submit names for umpires for this event. The ITF will select 60 umpires from across the world. If you are interested, and possess an ITF Class "A" Umpire Certificate, please e-mail us at itf.canada@gmail.com.

Edmonton, Alberta - The Canadian delegation has returned from the 2010 Junior/Veteran ITF World Championships in Belarus!

Mrs. Hugman, the Team Manager, also had the following to add after receiving a small token of appreciation at the end of the tournament:

Mr. Smith presented me last night with our Canadian flag from the world championships, autographed by all of you.  The symbolism, your kind words, and team spirit is woven throughout its red and white.  Thank you all for a most endearing gift and the pleasure to serve as Team Manager, and congratulations Team Canada!
